I have a bit of a rant today. I am looking soooo much better, losing inches and gaining self esteem. Lose weight gain muscle the catch though, I've gained 4 pounds since starting Insanity. It's really hard when I read other Insanity blogs and see that others are losing pounds and I'm gaining. I know that I'm gaining muscle, but it's really hard mentally to see the scale go up when one of my main goals is to lose weight. Anyone else Insanity lose weight or gain muscle this?

Shouldn't I get a notice or something from SparkPeople? How does that work? I really am enjoying this second round. I feel much more confident in the routines, and I'm just much stronger. I was always worried about what was going to come up next especially what was in the second month. Now that I know I can get through it all, it's much more enjoyable!
The end part of the workout is very muscle burning, but not so bad after doing it a couple of times. Enjoy it while you have it! The scale is evil I just have this problem where I used to always weigh my self worth, based on what I weigh. I'm slowly beginning to focus on how I feel!!! It's so much better and going based of how I feel encouraged me to buy a new bikini yesterday as a "reward" for Month 1 of Insanity! To answer your question, Cardio Core and Balance incorporates a lot of the moves we did Level 1 Drills, Switch Kicks, Arm Circles, Mummy Kicks, etc.
But it also incorporates some punches in, and lots of deep muscle work. It's all at a slower pace, and it runs about 37 minutes total. It's a nice break from the hard workouts, and I like it better than Cardio Recovery! I finished my first round of Insanity back in late May or early June My first month my weight was all over the place.
I'd lose a few pounds and then gain a few. Over and over again. I was getting really frustrated. Then I did my recovery week with the Core Cardio and Balance Insanity lose weight or gain muscle everyday. And I dropped several pounds. Then once I started Month 2 I really started seeing results and overall, I dropped almost 10 lbs from my max high. So the moral of the story is, don't give up. Get frustrated and use that frustration in your Lose weight gain muscle It's definitely worth it.

I wouldn't worry about what the scale says. It's how you look and how you feel that's important. Also, in the first round I did, there were a few people who lost nothing the first month and a half.
